About Lorena

Lorena Prego is the Founder and leader of Prometeo Talent, a global recruitment partner helping companies hire tech, AI, and leadership talent across LATAM, Europe, and the US. Active since 2010, Prometeo spans RPO, executive search, staffing, direct search, relocation, and global tech hiring.
With more than two decades in HR, recruitment, and talent strategy, she has led over 5,000 successful hires and built a vetted network of 200,000+ professionals. She also lectures on Talent Acquisition and HR Strategy at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and runs her own school for tech talent hunters, training the next generation of recruiters, pairing industry command with an academic edge.
Originally from Uruguay and now based in Barcelona, one of Spain's fastest-rising hubs for tech, innovation, and multicultural exchange, Lorena works mostly with clients across the English-speaking world while sourcing talent from every corner of the globe. That cross-cultural fluency lets her read people and markets that others miss.
